This is a concept comp for a personal project of mine. I wanted to see what I could create using non-commercial assets and non-commercial NukeX
Using a Lumanice keyer, I removed the black/white background of the smoke and fire footage.
I used a keyer and a simple expression to generate a realistic light flicker
I modified the outer and inner glow by using the following parameters:
I used a simple transform and screen merge to create a reflection on the top of the car. Additionally, I applied a generic glow with a grade to match the intensity of the flames.
